Quite simply we offer the chance to have a little peace of England to escape to. A traditional English pub is the hub of village and within 100 metres of the site. Within 30 minutes, the local bus will get you into the centre of York with its fabulous cafe culture, rich history and busy calendar. The campsite itself is set in a quiet field just off a no through country lane that runs from the centre of the village. Looking onto woodland it offers spectacular sunsets and an abundance of wildlife from deer to buzzards. Set in the beautiful conservation village of Thorganby, Country Living Campsite gives you the chance to escape the hustle and bussle and enjoy the country life. Situated down a country lane in the centre of the village you will have easy access to the renowned Jefferson Arms pub, bus service into York city centre and village hall which holds events throughout the year. There is a network of footpaths around the village and plenty of great cycling. The village boasts a fishing lake, which can be reached via a footpath from the site, and access to the river Derwent. It also forms part of the Derwent nature reserve with bird hides open to the public. We offer a spacious pitch with open views, electric hook up and water point. All pitches will have the grass cut once a week and all guests will be asked to adhere to a noise policy. Well behaved dogs are welcome to a maximum of 2 per pitch.
